Get your tweed out …the final day

All three of my selection’s got a place, go on me!! Hopefully you managed to find a bookmaker who paid out for the first four in Divers race, if not you only have  yourself to blame.

So today is the big 1! The Cheltenham Gold Cup! I can’t have Long Run after his performance at Newbury, he made it look like hard work, he’s been busy and I would be more confident if he had a bit of freshness about him. So it’s Kauto for me.

Let’s hope I can keep our run of luck going, so today…

1.30 – Grumeti E/W

3.20 – Weird Al E/W

4.00 – Cloudy Lane E/W

I can’t believe how quickly Cheltenham has gone, I’m going to make sure I take a day off next year, I have missed out big time.

Well done to all the winning connections and thanks to everyone involved for again, making it such a special week.

Good luck on your last day…have fun. x

Get your tweed out day 3

Cheltenham Festival Day 3

Well not a bad day yesterday with Veiled getting a place at 25-1,
that gives me a 50% strike rate on my suggestions so far…..not bad for a jockey!

It was a shame about New years Eve just being held in the last but
what a performance from Champagne Fever, he out stayed the lot,….  Brilliant ride from Mr Mullins.

So today I like the look of….

1.30 – Champion Court E/W

2.40 – Albertas Run E/W

4.00 – Divers E/W

So this evening when you’re drunk and celebrating with a pocket
rammed with notes spare a thought for me, I’ll be at Wolverhampton getting sand
thrown in my face…….ENJOY!

Get your tweed out…day 2

Well I don’t like to blow my own trumpet but I’m gonna……How good were my suggestions yesterday!

What an amazing start to the week, my highlight was watching Sprinter Sacre win he has so much class, already excited about his next appearance wherever that maybe.

Let’s hope I can point you in the right direction again today.

2.40 – Grand Crus

4.00 – Veiled

5.15 – New years Eve

Sadly I cant go to Cheltenham I’m living it up at sunny Southwell.

Good Luck!

My trip to Dubai

13 March 2012 by , 2 Comments

Back at the ranch after, a wicked trip to Dubai. I only had to be there for Margot’s race on Saturday
but since it’s the calm before the storm and I have been a little run down recently I thought I would extend it slightly and recharge, mission complete.

Meydan is amazing, the facilities   in the weighing room were first class though sadly I had no one to share them with, Loner! Chantal Sutherland is heading over world cup night so I’ll have some company, Chantal is Americas leading Lady Jockey, she’s good fun and a hottie, so very popular with the lads!

The track itself is beautiful, very uncomplicated, the horse seem to win from anywhere obviously depending on the speed of the race, the steady pace set in Wigmore Hall’s race wouldn’t have been ideal for him, he ran a very promising race. The grass track rode quicker than usual, I thought it
was fast with no jar and a carpet of grass on top.

It was nice to catch up with the Lads in the weighing room whom I haven’t seen since my injury, they are in good form and looking forward to the heading home to begin the turf campaign.  In April there will be a lot of hungry jockeys kicking round and not enough racing but Mays fixture list will soon sort that out.

I have a very exciting month ahead, obviously Cheltenham this week. Myself and my sisters are going to watch Kel Brooke bash Mathew Hatton on Saturday, in Sheffield. Tuesday Notts County vs Sheffield united with daddy cool and his crew then back to Dubai….lovely Jubbly

Now……Get your Tweed out! The counting down is over!!

As promised I will pick a few horses each day, please
keep in mind jockeys do have a reputation for being the worse tipsters!

Today I’m going 4….

1.30 Dylan Ross e/w

2.40 Fruity O’Rooney e/w

3.20 Overturn e/w

PS.. Don’t be alarmed if you see a lot of drunken jockeys
kicking around it’s a well deserve day out for Flat lads, one last blast before
the busy months ahead.

Have fun.
