Ouch!

 Shocking Hell, I’m broke!!
What a disaster. I was riding at Bath yesterday when my first mount Rose Aurora decided to be a diva, as I got led on to the track, she reared over and landed on my leg. Ouchh!!

I was in a lot of pain and felt very sick, the ambulance team were there immediately, I then started to be a bit of a diva myself, the gas and air soon put a stop to that, loved it!!

The racecourse doctor examined my leg and told me it was just badly bruised and that I would be fine to ride tomorrow at Salisbury, phew!

So I was thinking to myself, get a grip Turner!! Which I did, for about 3 minuets, I then stared crying again, so I call Mummy! I love my mummy. She told me to get myself down the hospital.

After 2 paracetamol I felt confident enough to tell everyone it was just bruising, shortly after the doctor came to tell me my ankle was broken, so I started crying, again!!

I have now pulled myself together, it could have been so much worse, just my ankle, no head or spin injury. It’s simply part of our job, you have to cherish the highs and brush off the lows.

I’ve had an amazing season and at least now I have time to celebrate it.

Operation today, fingers crossed. I’ll keep you all updated.

LATERS….

I hope you are OK in a few weeks. It’s a shame, but you are a fighter and soon this accident will be forgotten. A kiss from Madrid.

A downside for you, but an uncalled bonus for your followers is that you’ll have a lot more time to write and keep us entertained! We’ll follow your recovery with interest. It’s going to be frustrating, but you’re a fighter and that’s why we love our Hayley.

I hope you were well cared for at the RUH and heal quickly.
Did you have your surgery there or just attend A&E?
I work in Theatres at the RUH but was enjoying the day at Bath races on Wednesday. Hope to see you back soon.
    Take care
