TEAM BELL
I’ve been working in racing now for 10 years. It makes me feel really old saying that! The majority of that time I have been attached to Michael Bell’s stable which is in Newmarket, the Head Quarters of horse racing.
I served my apprenticeship with Michael Bell (AKA Governor) which involved the usual daily care of a racehorse. A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes in horse racing, I feel lucky to be involved with such an amazing team, and most importantly they’re all good fun.
I did some video blogs with them when I visited the yard a few days ago. First up we have……… Twyron Lloyed Jones.
Back to reality…
10.30am I managed to drag my butt out of bed this morning. In my defense I was slightly Jet lagged from my very short trip to America, so short in fact I didn’t even get time to go shopping!
Arlingtonis a beautiful racetrack, Wigmore Hall ran a brilliant race and would have been closer had the gaps been there turning for home. My friend Gill who is in the picture with myself, Wiggy and trainer Michael Bell had the horse in peak condition, so thank you to her and also Mark Hawtin the owner for having me on board.
Right I’m off to the sea side where I rode my first winner, it was a donkey derby but it still felt good!!!
